Design and conduct a survey.

Survey must include __at least 5__ collection criteria
(including "other")

Collect at least 100 pieces of data. You will be expected to
submit your tally chart as part of your assignment.

Organize the data into a google spreadsheet and have the
application generate an appropriate graph.

__Grade 5's__

Calculate the mean, range, and mode of your data. Write a short paragraph which makes an
inference from the data. A second
paragraph telling why the graph you have chosen to present your data is the
appropriate choice.

__Grade 6's__

Calculate the mean, range, median and mode of your data. Write a short paragraph which makes an
inference from the data. A second paragraph telling why the graph you have
chosen to present your data is the appropriate choice.

__Helpful definitions__

__mean:__ take your data, add it up and then divide by the number of data items (example: if your data is 4,6,10,20 the mean is (4+6+10+20) ÷ 4= 10)

__range:__ take the least value and subtract it from the largest value (example: if your data is 4,6,10,20 the range is 20-4 = 16)

__median :__ take your data and line it up from smallest to largest, locate the middle value. (example: if your data is 4,6,10,20,25 the median is 10 because it is situated in the middle. Note: if your data is 4,6,10,20 you must calculate the mean of the middle two numbers because the number of data is even, so the median is (6+10) ÷ 2 = 8)

__mode:__ take your data and line it up from smallest to largest, identify the data that occurs most often (example: if your data is 4,6,10,10, 20,25 the mode is 10 because it occurs the most. Note: if your data is 4,6,10,20 there is no mode. If your data is 4,6,10,10, 20,20 the mode is 10 **and** 20)
